- Great MaterialWe have worked with various different "ivory paper micarta" from various manufacturers. Some versions of this are a real nightmare to work with, but this stuff USA knifemaker sells is premium. They are buying directly from Norplex-Micarta, the gold standard for this type of laminate. Micarta® was the original knife handle material. But before that, it proved its toughness and durability in demanding electrical and mechanical industrial applications.
