Solid Carbon Rods can be cut with an abrasive cut off wheel. Rotate the rod as it is being cut to get a cleaner cut and prevent splintering. A fine tooth hacksaw blade can also be used.

Note: For a clean cut wrap the tube with masking tape before cutting and then proceed to cut through the tape and tube
