This neoprene will work perfectly for molding Kydex, Concealex, Boltaron or other thermal molding plastic. You might be able to get by with one piece by cutting it in half but 2ea 12" pieces are probably better. You have to consider this foam a consumable item. It doesn't last forever. After so many heats and presses, it will break down. When that happens, you simply replace it. We can't predict how much use you will get there are too many variables like temperature, time under pressure, mass of the item being pressed, pressure, etc.

We believe neoprene is a better molding foam than more commonly found  PVC foam. The PVC foam tends to crush and take set wrinkles and marks and pass them onto your next pressing. The neoprene just tends to break down with use.
