Use this marker for etching. If you are building your own etch machine, consider using this marking block.
This marker has a tube for a handle. You can optionally fill the tube with electrolyte. The electrolyte than constantly seeps into the etch pad. This is for high volume marking. For a couple knives, it's probably better to just moisten the pad to better control the moisture level.
