The Falcon Tool "EDM" finishing stone is an aluminum oxide stone that is specially designed for polishing EDM surfaces used in mold and die steel. It is particularly effective on heat-treated steels. This stone is hard and durable, and retains its shape while removing surface scale with ease. This makes it perfect for polishing sharp corners and small details, either by hand or with reciprocating profilers. The stone can also be used with ultrasonic polishers.
It is recommended to use a lubricant like Stoning Oil or Polishing Lubricant along with Diamond Thinner to avoid stone loading. It's also best to dress "EDM" stones prior to use to open up pores.
