These cord ends have 3 rows of little spikes that hold the paracord in place when snapped shut. You can use these on 1 or 2 strands of paracord. In the picture the neon green paracord is 2 full diameters of 7 strand cord. I had to use a pair of pliers to snap it shut but it works. The desert camo paracord has the inner nylon strands removed and easily snapped shut with just finger pressure. Neater and cleaner than tying a knot off on the ends. If you use paracord, you want a handful of these.
