Caged bearings with hardened ball bearings.
Sold by pairs. Ordering 1 quantity will get you a pair of bearings, one for each side of your blade.
These bearings are caged in brass.
These bearings can be pocketed using a letter “T” counterbore which can be difficult to find. We are working on sourcing and selling appropriate sized carbide tipped counter bores for these bearings. The pocket can be oversized with no issues.
We will also be sourcing and selling hardened races for these bearings. A race is a thin washer with a small roller channel stamped into the metal. We tested 60HRC hardness in our samples. To use a race, you would mill your pocket slightly deeper to match the depth of the race and bearing set up. The advantage to the race is: they are harder than Ti and the channel break in is done for you already. Also, this allows a bearing to be used with a g10 frame. The down side is you have to mill a slightly deeper pocket and you have an additional part.
